Air Purification - Our ENVIROPure+ Service

One of the elements of providing a safe and hygienic environment for your customers, employees, visitors and those within your duty of care that can often be overlooked is the quality of air in your building.

The air purification unit(s) provided with our ENVIROPure+ Service helps you protect those within your premises by supporting you to provide fresh, clean, purified air:

The World Health Organization identified that 90% of our lives are now spent indoors and yet, indoor air quality can be 2-5x more polluted than outdoor air.

Now more than ever, the trapping and removal of allergens, viruses and bacteria that cause sickness is a priority to help protect those within your premises. Germs and harmful pathogens can be spread in 3 key ways: person to person, surface to person and air to person. The latter involves airborne respiratory droplets produced when an infected person coughs or sneezes, travelling independently or attached to dust particles or currents. The air purification unit as part of our ENVIROPure+ Service carefully filters harmful airborne particles and respiratory droplets to reduce the level of contamination in the air.

Additionally, research has shown that a dry cough, which is a typical symptom of COVID-19, emits an average respiratory droplet around 15 microns in size. Extremely small particles of this size do not sink to the floor immediately, but are carried in air currents for up to 4 minutes and across several metres, before landing on surfaces, creating further risk of cross contamination.* It is for reasons such as this, that commercial portable air purification solutions are a recommended means of improving a building’s health and can be effective as part of an integrated, managed hygiene programme.**

Our ENVIROPure+ Service includes air purification unit(s) that can be placed in offices, classrooms, healthcare environments, care homes and other commercial environments and work to remove airborne particles with potentially harmful pathogens that can cause sickness.

The units themselves are shown to remove 95% of airborne particles, including bacteria, fungi and viruses larger than 0.3 microns in size or contained in respiratory droplets (including the typical respiratory droplets released from COVID-19 patient's dry cough, which on average are 15 microns in size). The air purification unit also works to remove malodours, allergens and bacteria, and is designed with a HEPA filter to tackle bacterial and fungal matter in an indoor area, as well as an activated carbon filter that helps tackle volatile organic chemicals within indoor air. Additionally, colour indication at the front of the unit gives you an instant insight into the quality of air surrounding it, as well as a display of real time data that measures temperature, humidity, volatile organic compounds (VOCs) and airborne dust particles.
