IPAF - operation of mobile work platforms - scissor lifts and self propelled boom.
The International Powered Access Federation (IPAF) promotes the safe and effective use of powered access equipment worldwide. It is a non-profit organisation owned by its members.
This qualification is to learn how to operate Mobile Elevated Work Platforms (MEWPs). Inclusive of any scissor lifts and personnel lifts that do not have outriggers, so the machine can be driven whilst elevated. Go to site.
PASMA certificate of competence in tower scaffolds.
To obtain the PASMA training card an individual will have to pass both the written and the practical examination and will be considered competent to perform the tasks in respect of scaffold towers certified to the BS/EN standard.
PASMA is widely recognised as the industry’s leading body in the UK for continuous improvement for safety of aluminum scaffold towers. They improve product standards and provide training for the scaffold tower users. PASMA training is recognised by the Health and Safety Executive. Go to site.
Confined Space Entry with Escape BA
This course is for an individual that needs to develop the essential skills to pass a competency based assessment. It is designed to ensure individuals that need to enter a confined space understand the requirements of the law.
The assessment will address planning, entering, working and exiting confined spaces, including exiting via a vertical shaft and where escape breathing apparatus is a part of the planned means of self rescue. On completion of this course a certificate will be issued that will be valid for 3 years. Go to site.
IOSH Safe Worker passport
The IOSH Safe Worker Passport covers the foundation health & safety knowledge and requirements for staff to work safely whilst visiting a clients’ site. The Safety Worker Passport is 100% compliant with HSE safety passport scheme.
This training requires completion of a written examination and practical test. Successful individuals will be issued with a credit card sized passport confirming their achievement. The card will be valid for 3 years and can be renewed for a further 3 years with a 1 day refresher course. Go to site.
CSCS card for Industrial Cleaner
CSCS-Op card for Operative Sewage/Water Treatment
CSCS-CRO card for Construction Related Operation
CSCS cards are proof of occupational competence by contractors. This is the white/grey coloured card and covers construction related occupations and will show the individuals current job role. This card is valid for 5 years; applicants will need to retake the construction skills health & safety test.
In most cases, to apply for a CSCS card, you must have passed the Construction Skills Health and Safety test within the past 2 years. CSCS is designed to improve quality and reduce accidents. Go to site.
Safety Passport for working in Specific Industries
The Safety Passport provides a nationally recognised standard of health & safety assessment. This safety passport scheme operates across a variety of industries; the course is designed to give each individual the principals behind safe working and awareness of common hazards, including sector specific information. It covers the legal health & safety framework, the responsibilities of employers and employees, and any specific issues for our industry. Go to site.
First Aid - Emergency at Work
The emergency first aid at work certification complies with HSE requirements and is HSE approved and certified. After passing this course the individual will be able to administer first aid to a casualty, know the contents of a first aid kit and will record all incidents and accidents. The emergency first aid at work certificate is valid for 3 years. Go to site.
Water Jetting Association - Safety Awareness Training Course
This course is certificated by the Water Jetting Association and recognised by HSE. This programme is a non-practical general water jetting course that is valid for 3 years. A certificate and photo card will be issued when the candidate successfully passes. Go to site.

Each training programme is taught by a certified individual that is either a qualified internal trainer or an approved external body.
