Top Celebrity Restaurant Slammed By Hygiene Inspectors

A trendy celebrity restaurant has been given a lowly hygiene rating of two out five stars after a recent inspection.

The Chiltern Firehouse in London, whose guests have included David Beckham and Kate Beckinsale, has only been open for a matter of weeks, but food hygiene inspectors have ordered the celebrity eatery to clean up its act and improve standards.

Inspectors found some areas of the kitchen were dirty, along with holes in the walls and a lack of soap and hot water for members of staff to wash their hands to prevent bacteria spreading.

In addition, areas for food preparation were shabby and gaps in doors could potentially allow pests to enter the kitchen. It was also noted that the kitchen’s stained ceiling was “not suitable for use in a food room.”

Furthermore, the report also noted grimy grills, fridges and freezers, while the storeroom floor was found to be dirty. Admittedly, this is not something you’d expect from a top London restaurant, although we understand how challenging it can be to keep on top of hygiene standards.

To avoid the wrath of health inspectors, our experts are on hand to provide you with a kitchen deep cleaning service, ensuring harmful bacteria are eliminated and your expensive kitchen equipment is maintained.

In addition, we also offer a CaterClean reporting and certification service, which presents your firm with the necessary food hygiene and waste management documentation to satisfy the legislation.
