Legionella risk assessment
A water risk assessment is required to be undertaken by ACoP L8 every two years or sooner if modifications are made. Our work is based on risk assessment criteria, references BS8580:2010 and ensures you are fully compliant. In addition we include written reports, photographic support, an asset register, Legionella prevention recommendations and where appropriate, remedial recommendations.
Water analysis and testing
Our own laboratory is capable of conducting a wide range of chemical, water, microbiological analysis and testing. From water quality testing and deposit identification through to metal failure investigation. Our microbiological testing covers a wide range of bacterial analysis such as; total viable count, pseudomonas, coliforms, E coli and cryptosporidium. All of our Legionella testing is sent to an independent laboratory that is accredited for that analysis.
Legionella training
Equipping key personnel with the correct skills to match their level of responsibility is essential for the safe, legal and effective management of water systems. In particular ACoP L8 requires all “responsible people” to be suitably trained in Legionella awareness. Our highly experienced trainers deliver in-house ‘Legionella risk awareness’ and ‘Responsible person’ courses that help clients manage risk and meet their compliance.
